Tangbula Hundred-Mile Scenic Area (Eastern Section)

It is located in the eastern part of Nileke County. The word "Tangbula" originates from the Kazakh language, meaning "seal or stamp". Among local folks, it further refers to the imperial jade seal, a symbol of authority and status.

Stretching more than one hundred li from east to west, the scenic area forms a three-dimensional landscape made up of four distinctive elements: the Tianshan Mountains, grasslands, the Kashgar River and hot springs. There are altogether 113 valleys. Every valley boasts unique scenery that connects seamlessly with the next. It is a paradise for photographers, painters and oil painters, as well as a popular summer resort for tourists from home and abroad. Praised as a "hundred-mile scroll and natural art gallery", it is a national forest park approved by the State Forestry Administration, covering a total area of 514,000 mu.
