Cuihu Dragon Pool (also known as Nine-Dragon Pool), Jinguan Town

It is situated in the Sanchuan Basin of Yongsheng County right beside the Lijiang-Panzhihua Highway, enjoying highly convenient transportation. It lies 10 kilometres from downtown Yongsheng County and 6 kilometres from the Hongshiya National Ancient Earthquake Ruins. This place is a vital thoroughfare connecting Lijiang with Ninglang and Panzhihua in Sichuan Province.

Local farmers around Cuihu mainly grow rice and lotus roots. The contiguous lotus ponds span over a thousand mu, earning this area the reputation of "Ten Thousand Mu of Lotus Pond". The lake abounds with lotus roots, water bamboo shoots, reeds, common carp, loaches, shrimps and eels, making it ideal for developing unique farmhouse food culture.

In summer and autumn, boundless lotus flowers bloom everywhere. Some buds remain tightly closed while others are in full bloom to welcome visitors, presenting countless graceful forms. When a gentle breeze blows, sweet flower fragrance fills the air. Tourists row boats on the water, picking lotus blossoms, shelling lotus seeds, or catching fish and shrimps.
