Historical and Cultural Sites in Yulong County
Site of Lijiang Stone Coffin Tombs
A large number of stone coffin tombs have been discovered at the foot of Ma'an Mountain in Changshui of Lijiang Basin, as well as in Gezi and Hongyan stretching from Daju Township and Shigu Town to Judian Township within Yulong County. These tombs constitute a key part of the stone-coffin burial cultural zone spanning Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet, boasting great value for cross-regional historical and cultural tourism.
Iron Bridge Site of the Tang Dynasty in Tacheng
According to legend, Shi Wansui, a general campaigning against local chieftains in Yunnan in the Sui Dynasty, built an iron chain bridge across the Jinsha River in Tazha Village of Tacheng, historically known as "the First Bridge on the Yangtze River". In the 7th century, the Tubo expanded its influence to the southwest and established the Shenchuan Military Governor's Office and the Iron Bridge Military Commissioner here. This site enjoys high historical and cultural landscape value.
Inscribed Tile Site in Ancient Jujin Prefecture (Present-day Judian), Lijiang
In 1980, ancient building materials such as bricks, tiles and stone column bases were unearthed here. They date back to the same period as the inscribed tiles of the Nanzhao Kingdom discovered in Dali. These cultural relics are crucial for studying the historical relations between the Nanzhao Kingdom and Lijiang, making this an ideal spot for scientific research tourism in the future.
Fengke Ferry on the Jinsha River: the Crossing with Leather Rafts
