Located at the foot of Mazartag Mountain in Charbagh Township, Bachu County, this is an ancient tomb of the Ishan sect of Islam. According to legend, Ez Ali, the son-in-law of Muhammad, the founder of Islam, once visited this place. Many soldiers who died in battles were also buried here.
This mazar enjoys high renown throughout Kashgar Prefecture. Every year on the Ayam Festival, when local people offer sacrifices to ancestors by burning oil gourds, tens of thousands of worshippers come here to pay homage.
