Taipinggou Primeval Forest — Hailang River Rafting

Depart from Mudanjiang and head for the Korean Pine Primeval Forest at Taipinggou Scenic Area under Dahailin Forestry Bureau. Here, the roar of pine waves fills the air amid grand, lush ancient woods. It is an ideal destination for scientific research, summer escape, stream trekking exploration, camping, outdoor picnics, wildlife watching and forest bathing.

Walk uphill along the primeval forest sightseeing trail to see a series of distinctive scenic spots: Three Sworn Brothers Trees, Magpie Nest Tower, the historic site of timber donated to the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, King Poplar, and the Lover Trees. On the way downhill, you will pass the Fog Bridge, Misty Stream, Streamside Pavilion and cozy wooden cabins.

Lunch: Authentic forest-region specialties; visitors may also prepare packed picnics in advance.

After lunch, experience Hailang River Rafting, reputed as "No.1 Rafting in Heilongjiang". Feel the thrills of boating and whitewater surfing on the river.

Finally, take the coach back to Mudanjiang City.
