Mudanjiang — Ziling Lake — Jingpo Canyon

Depart from Mudanjiang and head to the picturesque Riverside Park. Pay homage to the monumental sculpture of the Eight Heroines Who Drowned Themselves in the River, anti-Japanese martyrs, and listen to the guide recount their touching heroic stories.

Next, arrive at Ziling Lake. Admire the ecological volcanic wetland lake scenery. Tour the entire lake by motorboat, then row small boats into reed marshes to watch wild birds including wild ducks, herons and mandarin ducks. Afterwards, row to the bay dotted with water lilies and water caltrops to admire the flowers and pick caltrops. Leave the boats and climb the Lake View Tower for a bird’s-eye view of Ziling Lake, with distant vistas of Jingpo Lake and Feilong Pond.

Proceed to Jingpo Canyon, a representative Korean ethnic village. Lunch: Authentic Korean ethnic cuisine.

After lunch: Visit traditional Korean houses, watch demonstrations of glutinous rice cake and rice wine making. Enjoy folk performances of swing, springboard and wrestling. Experience water wheel climbing and Korean-style tug-of-war, and wander along the river valley to appreciate natural scenery.

Finally, return to Mudanjiang City.
