Transfer by coach to Jingpo Lake, China’s largest mountain barrier lake. En route, visit the Site of Longquanfu, Upper Capital of the Bohai Kingdom — known as the "Prosperous Eastern Kingdom" in the Tang Dynasty — together with its ruin museum. Take a lake cruise to visit iconic lake attractions: Lake Center Island, Flying Rainbow Bridge, Mao Gong Mountain, State Leaders’ Villa, Moon-Embracing Bay and White Stone Cliffs. Admire Diaoshuilou Waterfall, China’s largest basalt volcanic waterfall, Jingpo Mountain Villa, Deng Xiaoping’s stone inscription and Liu Shaoqi’s Wooden Lodge. Proceed by coach to the primeval underground volcanic forest, a rare natural wonder worldwide. Explore underground lava tunnels, Hanging Sheep Cliff, Qitian Pavilion offering a crater-bottom panoramic view, natural oxygen bar and enjoy forest bathing. Return to Mudanjiang by coach. Coach transfer to Xingkai Lake Scenic Area. Visit the Beidahuang Calligraphy Forest, Youth Reservoir, national border port, China-Russia boundary stone and the Mini Boundary Bridge (a Guinness World Record holder). Appreciate lotus flowers at Lianhua Lake. (Overnight stay at Xingkai Lake)

Watch the stunning sunrise over Xingkai Lake in the early morning, wander along the lakeshore and enjoy beach bathing. Tour the Memorial Hall and Monument dedicated to General Wang Zhen, who led troops to reclaim the Beidahuang wilderness. Travel by coach to Hutou, the final site of World War II. Visit Hutou Military Fortress, once boasted by Japanese troops as the "Oriental Maginot Line". Sightsee China-Japan Friendship Park and Guandi Temple, hailed as the "Easternmost Temple in China". Coach transfer to Zhenbao Island on the China-Russia border. Along the way, feast your eyes on world-class primeval forest and wetland landscapes. Visit ancient thousand-year-old trees and border sentry posts, tour the Martyrs Memorial Hall of the Zhenbao Island Campaign, and climb Hill 209 for a bird’s-eye overlook of the island to pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs. Return to Hulin by coach. After dinner, transfer back to Mudanjiang or head to Harbin for station/airport drop-off, concluding this delightful journey!
