Fujian is home to three world heritage sites and two global geoparks, offering competitive world-class tourism brands and premium travel routes. The main attractions are Wuyi Mountains, Mount Taimu, Baishuiyang-Yuanyang Creek, Mount Baiyun, Taining Golden Lake, Tulou (Yongding, Nanjing and Hua’an Areas), etc.
Maritime Silk Road Leisure Route
Fujian is an important starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. From the Tang and Song Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties until modern times, the province had been a major participant and witness of the development of the Maritime Silk Road. Attractions along the Route include Mawei Shipbuilding and Naval History Museum, Luoxing Pagoda, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys in Fuzhou, Shipaiyang Rock in Pingtan, stone folk houses, Meizhou Island in Putian, Luoyang Bridge in Quanzhou, Quanzhou Maritime Museum, Dehua Porcelain Museum, Dongshan Island, Volcano Island in Zhangpu, and the Moon Port in Zhangzhou.
Tea Culture Route
Fujian is the starting point of the ancient Tea Road. Its written history of tea production was 300 years earlier than that of the Book of Tea. Along the Route you may enjoy Chunlun Tea Culture Park in Fuzhou, White Tea Museum in Fuding, Dahongpao Tea Scenic Area in Wuyi Mountain, Xiamei Ancient Village, live-action performance of Impression of the Dahongpao Tea, Tea Plantation in Anxi, Tianfu Tea Museum in Zhangzhou.
In addition, Fujian offers other select travel routes featuring cozy Xiamen, the Min capital culture, Hakka culture, old revolutionary bases, which includes Gulang Islet in Xiamen, Guling Mountain in Fuzhou, Guanzhai Mountain in Liancheng, Gutian in Longyan, Tingzhou Ancient Town in Changting.
