Rules for Hot Spring Bathing
- Take a full shower before entering the pools. This protects spring water sanitation, helps your body adapt to water temperature, and removes sweat to facilitate mineral absorption by your skin.
- Swimsuits and slippers are mandatory in all hot spring areas to prevent slips and falls.
- Choose pools with a suitable temperature. Most visitors shall start with low-temperature pools, soaking for around 15 minutes before exiting to rest. Soaking in high-temperature pools shall not exceed 10 minutes at a time.
- If you feel dry mouth, chest tightness or other discomfort due to first-time soaking or overlong bathing, exit the pool immediately to rest and sip water or drinks to ease discomfort.
- Guests with severe heart disease, hypertension, general malaise or pregnant women are prohibited from soaking unless permitted by a doctor or accompanied by dedicated staff.
- Intoxicated visitors shall not enter the hot spring pools.
- Rinse your body with clean water after bathing. Do not use soap or shower gel to retain minerals absorbed by your skin.
