Tuoketuo Yellow River Tourism Development Zone

It is located within Tuoketuo County, 70 kilometres away from Hohhot. Centered on the 37.5-kilometre stretch of the Yellow River running through the county, the zone takes folk festivals and idyllic rural scenery as its core themes. It fully showcases the region’s distinctive natural landscapes, authentic folk customs and splendid Yellow River culture unique to Tuoketuo.

A wide array of tourism programs covering sightseeing, entertainment, vacation, leisure and commerce have been developed in the zone, forming well-coordinated complementary facilities. Completed attractions and service amenities include Tuoketuo Museum, the ancient Dongsheng City ruins of the Ming Dynasty, South Lake Park, Grape Bay, the amusement park at the dividing line between the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, the Divine Spring at the Sea Eye, the Kubuqi Desert, foreign-related hotels, and the Yiliuwan Agritainment Tourism Area.

Recently, centering on the initiative of accelerating the construction of a new socialist countryside, the county has launched distinctive rural agritourism, which has become a brand-new highlight of the Yellow River Tourism Zone.
