Jiangxi Qinglan Ecological Leisure Orchard

Jiangxi Qinglan Ecological Leisure Orchard is located in Qianfang Town, Jinxian County, on the picturesque shores of Junshan Lake and Qinglan Lake. The region boasts abundant water resources with favourable soil and climate conditions.
It is 20 kilometres from the county seat, 40 kilometres from Nanchang, the provincial capital, and only 30 kilometres away from Wenhou and Jingwen Expressways, enjoying highly convenient transportation.
Two routes are available from Nanchang:
  1. Starting from East Beijing Road, cross the Yaohu Bridge and follow the Changwan Highway. Pass Maqiu and Sanyang Bridge, then turn right toward Jinxian. After driving 15 kilometres, you will reach Qianfang Town (Qinglan Ecological Orchard).
  2. Starting from Shengmi Bridge in Honggutan District, take National Highway 320 via Wenjiazhen, go through downtown Jinxian County, and continue for 20 kilometres to Qianfang Town (Qinglan Ecological Orchard).
The orchard was founded in 2008 with a planned total investment of 300 million yuan. The project includes the construction of an eco-tourism park and a holiday resort along Qinglan Lake. It features rustic buildings of diverse styles and harmonious ecological landscapes between human and nature. The park displays pastoral scenery and rural life from multiple perspectives, creating a natural and relaxing rural retreat for tourists.
At present, the developed orchard covers more than 10,000 mu, with over 200,000 high-quality fruit trees planted, including red-fleshed honey pomelos, Cuiguan pears, white loquats and red bayberries. The trees blossom and bear fruit in different seasons:
  1. White Loquat
Blossoms in February, bears fruit in March, and ripens for picking in May.
The flesh contains sugar, protein, fat, pectin, carotene, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin C, as well as tartaric acid, malic acid and citric acid.
It can nourish the lung qi, moisturize the five internal organs, relieve nausea and quench thirst.
  2. Red Bayberry
Blossoms in April, bears fruit in May, and ripens for picking in June.
Its flesh contains 12% to 13% sugar and 0.5% to 1.1% acid. It is rich in cellulose, minerals, vitamins, protein, fat, pectin and eight kinds of amino acids beneficial to human health. The content of calcium, phosphorus and iron is more than ten times higher than that of most other fruits.
Red bayberries promote the production of body fluid to quench thirst, invigorate the spleen and stimulate appetite. Moderate consumption does no harm to the stomach and intestines; instead, it helps detoxify and dispel cold.
Compendium of Materia Medica records: "Red bayberries quench thirst, harmonize the five internal organs, cleanse the intestines and stomach, and eliminate irritability and foul qi."
  3. Cuiguan Pear
Blossoms in April, bears fruit in May, and ripens for picking in July.
This fine variety features big fruits with thin peels, juicy, tender and crisp flesh and high sugar content, which has won wide recognition among consumers.
Rich in vitamins and trace elements such as calcium, phosphorus and iron, it boasts high nutritional value. It promotes fluid production, relieves dryness, clears internal heat and dissolves phlegm, with considerable medicinal value.
  4. Red-fleshed Honey Pomelo
Blossoms in April, bears fruit in May, and ripens for picking in November.
Red flesh is the most favoured colour among Chinese people. The fruit is large with a thin peel and seedless jade-coloured flesh filled with sweet and slightly sour juice.
Lycopene and carotene contained in the pomelo have been medically proven to prevent cancer, and also help prevent and treat cardiovascular diseases.
  5. After three years of cultivation, the fruit trees have yielded a moderate harvest this year. The fruits are mainly used for tasting and promotional events to prepare for mass sales next year.
Visitors who tasted white loquats and red bayberries ripening in May and June, as well as Cuiguan pears in July, all praised their sweetness and juiciness and placed pre-orders for next year’s output.
Market surveys and customer feedback show that modern consumers increasingly demand high-grade green fruits with excellent flavour. Our produce fully meets these requirements and enjoys promising market prospects.
  6. We have also introduced fine varieties of sweet osmanthus from Zhejiang, including Zhuangyuanhong, Jinqiu Cassia and Dangui. The trees bloom from the eighth to the ninth lunar month, with bright red and golden blossoms spreading fragrance for miles.
The ecological leisure orchard centres on the fruit-growing industry and consists of three zones: orchard sightseeing area, angling zone and rural farmhouse area. It forms an eco-agricultural tourism destination integrating sightseeing, fruit farming, recreational fishing, ecological catering and conference holidays.
We bring agro-ecotourism focusing on orchards and seedling cultivation to the market. With high-quality fruits as the core product, we develop a complete industrial chain: orchard sightseeing, technical training on seedling breeding, fruit-tasting festivals at farmhouses, and factory tours of fruit processing and packaging. This not only expands fruit sales but also boosts the development of local agricultural and sideline industries.
We will hold flower appreciation festivals and fruit-picking seasons when various trees bloom and fruits ripen.
Sincerely welcome you to visit, admire the natural scenery, enjoy the fun of fruit picking, and unwind in a joyful rural environment.
