Dashinao

Dashinao is situated in Dashi Village, the northwest of Nantai Township, Jinxian County. Stretching into the southern end of Junshan Lake, it forms a lakeside peninsula covering about 800 mu. Jutting out into the lake, Dashinao is surrounded by water on three sides, with layered red soil formations stacked one above another. Seen from afar, it looks like a huge crouching dragon, or a giant crocodile resting beside the lake. The hills are covered in lush vegetation. The lake enfolds the hills, and the hills adorn the lake. The mountains stay green thanks to the lake water, and the lake turns emerald against the mountains. The mountain and lake scenery set off each other beautifully.

The area abounds with fish and birds, boasting a rich variety of flora and fauna. In spring, wild blossoms bloom while egrets gather here; In summer, visitors enjoy cool breezes off the lake; In autumn, fresh rice wine and hairy crabs become local delicacies; In winter, wild geese and white swans migrate here.

Dashinao enjoys a humid subtropical climate with abundant sunshine and a long frost-free period, ideal for water sports.
