Jinhua Temple Scenic Area features a warm temperate continental monsoon climate. Affected by local microclimates, its climatic characteristics vary distinctly across different areas. The scenic area boasts 400 hectares of natural secondary forests and abundant plant resources, with flowers blooming in three seasons and evergreen scenery all year round.
In spring, hundreds of flowers vie for beauty, and pagoda tree blossoms spread across the land, filling the air with sweet fragrance. In summer, the whole area is wrapped in lush greenery, with dense foliage blocking the sunlight. Autumn brings vast stretches of red leaves that dye the mountain woods in gorgeous hues. In winter, sturdy pines and cypresses dot the mountain slopes, creating landscapes of high ornamental value.
The scenic area has ancient strata with exposed bedrock, and the lower rock layers belong to the Sinian System. Its complex terrain facilitates the retention of atmospheric precipitation, giving rise to abundant shallow groundwater, surface runoff and natural springs. The water here is of superior quality and qualifies as natural mineral water. Locals are nearly free from cancer as well as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
A great variety of wild animals inhabit the area. More than 60 species of birds are a major scenic highlight, together with over 50 other wild animals including wild boars, wolves and deer. The area enjoys superior living conditions for wildlife, supported by diverse vegetation and ample surface water.
