Date: Reign of King Zhao and King Mu of the Western Zhou Dynasty.

Unearthed in 1985 at the Liutai Site in Jiyang, Shandong Province, it is now collected in Jiyang County Museum.

The jade is pale green. The artefact is nearly oval in shape with incised lines covering the whole surface. Both sides are highly polished, each engraved with a dragon pattern. On one side, the dragon coils inward clockwise, while on the other side it coils counterclockwise.

The dragon is tightly coiled, with its hooked tail bent toward the centre of the piece. Its head rests upon the tail, with a closed mouth and a round nose. It has rectangular "minister-style" eyes; the pupils are single-sided drilled holes, and cloud-shaped eyebrows are carved above the eyes. Above and behind the eyes are ears or horns pierced with a small hole. Opposite the dragon head are the thighs and shanks. The end of the shank is carved with double-hooked claws. The dragon’s body curls inward, decorated with four groups of fish-scale patterns.
