Tianzhu Peak National Forest Park
The park covers 10,512 hectares in Daduan Town. Forest coverage reaches 86.4%, ranking among the highest in Jiangxi Province.
Known as A Biological Paradise South of the Yangtze River, it hosts 188 wildlife species, including 2 Class-I national protected animals, 21 Class-II national protected animals and 46 provincial protected species. There are 534 native woody plant varieties, among which 13 are national protected tree species and 31 are provincial protected varieties.
The park also boasts abundant hot springs, mineral springs and medicinal cold mud resources.
The park consists of four major scenic zones with 76 attractions (32 cultural sites and 44 natural sites):
- Nine-Dragon Lake: solitary peaks and poetic lakeside scenery
- Tonggu Stone: jagged cliffs and steep valleys
- Longmen Cliff: seas of flowers and green bamboo groves
- Dawei Mountain: dense forests and sea of clouds
Nature’s craftsmanship has shaped unique Danxia landscapes with sharp peaks, winding valleys, clear air and limpid waters. Famous spots including Tonggu Stone, Ten-Thousand Tablets Facing Heaven, Seven Gates, Tianzhu Peak and One-Line Sky form the backbone of the park’s green eco-tourism.
Red cultural relics endow the park with profound revolutionary tourism value: the Memorial Hall of the Autumn Harvest Uprising (National Patriotic Education Base), Mao Zedong’s Former Residence at the Xiao Clan Ancestral Hall, and WanShou Palace in Paibu Town.
With green mountains, blue lakes, red Danxia cliffs, waterfalls and hot springs, the park has high negative ion concentration and is known as a natural oxygen bar. It is a perfect getaway for nature lovers, summer retreats and holiday breaks.
