Caofeidian Wetland Park encompasses six islands within Caofei Lake plus surrounding tidal flats, a 4,000-mu wetland zone south of Caofei Lake, a 3,000-mu wetland maze west of Shuanglong River, and additional wetland territories. Planned developments include tourism and vacation facilities, high-end business hotels and supporting auxiliary infrastructure, alongside environmentally protective wetland conservation works.

Designed to showcase river, marsh and pond wetland landscapes, the park unifies wetland tourism, recreational activities and environmental education as a comprehensive wetland education park. It weaves popular science into eco-leisure activities to raise public awareness of wetland ecosystems, inspire citizen support for wetland conservation, and provide a daily ecological leisure destination for urban residents.

An environmental demonstration zone is planned within the park, integrating diverse eco-environmental technologies into the wetland ecosystem. This dual-purpose design showcases sustainable environmental techniques while enabling the wetland park to operate as a self-circulating ecological system.
