Amid the rolling mountains south of Chaohu City stands a magnificent lofty peak named Yinping Mountain. A huge silvery stone shaped like a vase rests on its slope, giving the mountain its name. Located south of Yinping Town on the southern bank of Chaohu Lake, it is celebrated for its limestone karst caves and stalactites.
The mountain range contains nine peaks resembling nine lions, collectively known as Nine Lions Mountain. The stone lions take varied postures — seated, recumbent, standing or striding — inspiring ancient verses referencing "Nine Lions as the Main Scene" and "Nine Lions of Yinping". A sheer precipice rises on the mountain’s southern side. Every deep winter, snow blankets the cliff, forming a natural silvery screen of breathtaking grandeur, thus the widely used name Yinping (Silver Screen).

A high-grade highway links the scenic zone directly to the Chaohu-Wuwei arterial road, ensuring highly convenient access. Daily shuttle buses run from Chaohu urban area straight into the scenic spot.
