Shahu Anti-Japanese Allied Forces Secret Camp Base
Located at the southern foot of Laoling Mountain in Shahu Town, Tonghua County, the area is characterized by overlapping peaks, high mountains, and dense forests.
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, General Yang Jingyu established Shahu as a secret camp base for the Anti-Japanese Allied Forces. From here, he repeatedly launched attacks against the Japanese invaders.
To date, caves, wooden houses, kang beds, training grounds, and other facilities used by Anti-Japanese Allied Forces soldiers have been discovered in Yong'an Village, Dadongchagou, Daxichagou (Laoling Village), and Shiyidaogou (Laoling Village). Many touching battle stories took place here.
Currently, Shahu Town has been designated as a National Nature Reserve. As red tourism routes are developed, more Anti-Japanese Allied Forces sites will be unearthed.
