Jiayou Temple Pagoda
Located east of the county seat at Shiling Hill (next to Nan’an Air-Duck Factory), it’s named after the ancient Jiayou Temple. The oldest pagoda in Dayu (over 2,000 years old), it’s a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level江西省文化和旅游厅. Experts note Tang Dynasty influences and early Song Dynasty architecture; it remains majestic after millennia and multiple restorations.
Yashan Scenic Area
A National Forest Park and Provincial Scenic Area, 10 km east of Dayu. National Highway 323 runs through its foot, with scenic roads leading to the core. It integrates natural (mountains, forests, springs, lakes, waterfalls, caves) and cultural (temples) landscapes, named after the "Y"-shaped Double Summit Peak. Renowned since ancient times for Buddhism and tourism大余县人民政府.
Sanjiangkou Primitive Forest
Located 23 km northwest of the county seat (Hongshuizhai South Source Mountains), at 400–900 m altitude. A Provincial Forest Park, it spans 5 km along the Sanjiangkou River (1.2 million m² total). Ancient trees, dense shade, overlapping peaks, valleys, and waterfalls create stunning scenery. Wildlife includes silver pheasants, deer, and roe deer. Riverbeds feature large bluestones shaped like oxen and pigs. With a cool climate (average 15.6°C), it’s a natural summer retreat.
