Legend says the Eight Immortals chose this lush, serene mountain as their cultivation retreat, naming it Baxian Mountain and their platform Baxiantai. Research confirms Mu Guiying, a Song dynasty female hero, once stationed troops here, giving Mudian its name. The area blends mountains, waters, forests, springs, stones, and caves, with islands dotting the waters—a unique landscape.
