Pingyao Ancient City, located in Jinzhong Basin, Shanxi Province, has a history of 2700 years and was built in the Western Zhou Dynasty3. In December 1997, it was listed in the World Cultural Heritage List4. The city wall we see now was expanded from the old city wall in the Ming Dynasty and was renovated many times in the Qing Dynasty, but its style has never changed4. It is known as one of the best-preserved ancient cities in China and shows people an extraordinary picture of cultural, economic, social and religious development
