His sets of clay figurines are taken from myths, dramas, fiction, and real life.Zhang created more than 10,000 works in his life. In the 52nd year after his death, the Clay Figurine Zhang Workshop was established to inherit the research of painted sculpture. Many of its art works have now been collected and awarded by art galleries around the world.
