As early as the Paleolithic era, humans began to use stone balls to conduct basic activities such as throwing, tossing, and throwing. In the Paleolithic culture site of Xujiaoyao, Shanxi Province which dates back to 100,000 years ago, more than 1,000 stone balls of different sizes were excavated and unearthed. These stone balls can be used for hunting as well as for games. Traditional Chinese ball games are rich and varied, including cuju, pounding balls, horse ball, and stepping ball and other forms. In the history, it has the functions of military training, competitive confrontation, entertainment and leisure. Ball game activities are widely involved, ranging from the court nobility to the common people.
