The Sheng Kung Hui Church, also called the Chinese Anglican Church, is a major historical and cultural site protected at the national level. It was built by Beijing craftsmen employed by British bishop Charles Perry Scot in the thirty-three years of the region of Empire Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1907), when known as the largest and earliest church for Christians in North China.
Its main buildings cover an area of 947 square meters, and the figure of outbuildings is 5,955 square meters. The planar design is cross-shaped, featuring Chinese style slope crest with two octagonal pavilions on the top which act as skylight and bell tower. In 2004, it was announced as the control zone of construction, and delineated the scope of protection, namely the cultural relics building.
