Located at the swanky lobby of the China World Hotel, Aria Jazz and Wine Bar is a split-level restaurant and bar. You\'ll love the mix of old world elegance and modern sophistication that just begs you to relax and enjoy and soak up the surroundings. Dining is in the upstairs restaurant, a contemporary European menu and setting that suits the general western style of the hotel – the venue has won a raft of awards as long as its wine list so you can be assured of the quality on offer (in fact, many of those awards were for its wine list, so be sure to check out the extensive and well-chosen selection on offer). But it\'s the moody ambience of the downstairs jazz lounge that you come here for. With its spiral staircase, period murals on the walls and swish couches, it\'s a little like a 1950s New York cabaret venue spiced up for our times. As we said, the acclaimed wine menu is long and has legs, but staffs also pour perfect champagne cocktails if you like that. You might want to order a Bellini when the lights dim and the jazz singer starts up her sultry tunes. There’s a happy hour 5-8pm and the bar is open from mid-morning till after midnight every night (the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, closing at 10 – making the bar a popular option for pre- or post-dinner drinks).
