Downtown hotels are mainly concentrated in three areas: the city center, near the bus station, and around the roundabout at the county entrance. None of them offer good value for money.

Hotels by the roundabout often charge exorbitant prices. Worse still, they are far from the downtown area, making daily life inconvenient. The surroundings near the bus station are poor, and the price-performance ratio is also unsatisfactory. I would recommend staying in the city center, which is also close to the scenic spots. Ordinary hotels cost roughly 100 yuan per night if you book on-site, and you should bargain for a lower price. Remember to book in advance during holidays.

Baishuiyang has now entered its peak tourist season, so hotel rooms almost always require advance reservation. In Pingnan County, apart from accommodations in the county seat, there are lodging options inside both Baishuiyang Scenic Area and Yuanyang Stream Scenic Area. Most tourists choose to spend the night in downtown Pingnan.

None of the local hotels have official star ratings, yet many claim they were built to meet certain star-level standards. The finest hotel in Pingnan is Tianwaitian, constructed to four-star standards.
