The beautiful and magical Wudalianchi is world-famous for its unique volcanic landscapes.
Day 1: Yaoquan Town → Laoheishan (Old Black Mountain)
The mineral springs of Yaoquan Mountain have enjoyed a long-standing reputation. For nearly a hundred years, the spring water here has been used for medical treatment. At the foot of Yaoquan Mountain lie the South Spring, North Spring and Bubbling Spring, while the Kangda Spring was later discovered at the foot of Huoshaoshan (Burnt Mountain). The South and North Springs are designated for drinking therapy. Their cool, slightly pungent spring water aids digestion, relieves pain, calms nerves, improves sleep and promotes diuresis, and delivers remarkable curative effects especially for gastric ulcers, gastritis and other digestive ailments. (Duration: about half a day)
After lunch, head to Laoheishan. The mountain is surrounded by lava plateaus covering a total area of 65 square kilometres.
