What Scenic Spots Are There in Qiqihar? How Many Have You Not Visited Yet?

Qiqihar is a renowned charming city and outstanding tourist destination in China. The world-famous Zhalong Wetland is China’s largest national nature reserve for rare waterfowl. Boasting a century-long history, Longsha Park is the largest comprehensive garden in Northeast China.

Zhalong National Nature Reserve is the world’s largest reed wetland and the hometown of red-crowned cranes. Dotted with lakes and marshes and covered in dense reeds, the scenic area serves as a natural paradise for waterfowl and other birds to inhabit and breed. June to September is the prime crane-watching season, when large flocks of red-crowned cranes gather here. The crane release show is a signature highlight of the reserve, with around 20 to 30 red-crowned cranes taking flight each performance.
A true story that took place in Zhalong has been adapted into a widely popular song, telling the tale of a young girl who sacrificed herself to save red-crowned cranes. The song is titled A True Story.
