Dalinor Lake (Tickets)
Weathered basalt and granite rocks scatter across Dalinor Lake, a low-salinity saltwater lake. Covering an area of 238 square kilometres, it reaches a maximum depth of 13 metres with a water volume of 1.6 billion cubic metres.
It is the second-largest freshwater lake in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, yielding crucian carp and Amur ide (Huazi fish), which feature tender, delicate flesh and abundant nutrients.
Known as a paradise for birds, Dalinor Lake serves as a vital migratory passage for migratory birds in northern China, sheltering 235 bird species across 42 families and 16 orders. Among them are 26 species of national Class I and Class II protected rare birds such as red-crowned cranes. Designated a national rare bird nature reserve, it earns the title “Paradise of Hundred Birds” and ranks as China’s third-largest swan lake.

Drive along Chida Expressway from Chifeng to Provincial Corridor Road, covering roughly 220 kilometres to Jingpeng Town. Continue along National Highway 306 for about 90 kilometres to reach the lake.
Within downtown Chifeng, take a long-distance bus to Jingpeng and transfer onward.
Coach
Take a long-distance bus from Chifeng Bus Station; the trip takes approximately 6 hours to arrive at Dalinor Lake.

Chifeng Railway Station is situated in the southern end of Zhaowuda Road in downtown Chifeng, offering direct train routes to Beijing, Hohhot, Shenyang, Dalian, Jinzhou and Chengde.
Coach
Chifeng Long-distance Bus Station stands on the square in front of the railway station, with National Highway 141 running through the area. Direct coaches depart for Beijing, Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Shijiazhuang, Shenyang, Tangshan, Jinzhou and Chaoyang.
Mantuo Mountain Villa is 90 kilometres from the government seat of Hexigten Banner. Take a minibus bound for Hexigten Banner at Chifeng Railway Station (around a 5-hour ride), then charter a vehicle to reach the villa upon arrival in Hexigten Banner.
Ashatu Stone Forest (Tickets)
Ashatu Stone Forest is located 380 kilometres northwest of downtown Chifeng on North Mountain in Hexigten Banner, one of the eight core scenic zones of Hexigten Global Geopark.
“Ashatu” means “steep mountain peaks” in Mongolian. A rare granite stone forest formed by Quaternary glacial relics, it is hailed by geologists as a world geological wonder.

Coach: Arrive in Chifeng by air, train or long-distance bus. Take a long-distance coach bound for Jingpeng Town, Hexigten Banner from Chifeng Bus Station, then transfer to a vehicle heading for Bayangol at Hexigten Bus Station to reach Ashatu Stone Forest Scenic Area.
