How to Get to Xiangshawan (Resonant Sand Bay)

The whole journey is about 58.4 kilometers, taking roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. Depart from downtown along Jianshe Road for 5 kilometers. Drive another 1.8 kilometers past the gas station on the right, then turn slightly right onto the ramp. Follow the ramp for 1.5 kilometers and turn right front onto the auxiliary road of National Highway G210. Drive 200 meters along the auxiliary road and continue straight onto National Highway G210. Travel 11.8 kilometers on G210, then turn right to enter the Xiangshawan Scenic Area.

The total distance is 50 kilometers. Depart from downtown and drive 290 meters to the first highway toll station, then go straight onto National Highway G65. Drive 31.3 kilometers along G65 (toll stations are set along the route), turn right and travel another 2 kilometers to reach Xiangshawan Scenic Area.

Option 1: If you start from Baotou Airport or Baotou East Railway Station, you can take a taxi to the scenic spot, which takes around 50 minutes. Alternatively, take long-distance coaches bound for Dongsheng at East Baotou Long-Distance Bus Station (500 meters north of Baotou East Railway Station) and get off at Xiangshawan Overpass. Walk forward 3 kilometers to the scenic area.

Option 2: Starting from Baotou, take a bus or train to Dalate Banner first, then transfer to a local bus or taxi to Xiangshawan Scenic Area.

Visitors arriving at Ordos Airport or Dongsheng Railway Station in Ordos City can take a taxi to the scenic spot in about 50 minutes. Or board long-distance coaches from Dongsheng Long-Distance Bus Station heading for Baotou, alight at Xiangshawan Overpass, and walk 3 kilometers forward to reach the scenic area.

From Hohhot Airport or Hohhot Railway Station, a taxi ride to the scenic area takes roughly 3 hours. You may also take intercity coaches from Hohhot Long-Distance Bus Station bound for Dongsheng via Baotou, get off at Xiangshawan Overpass, and walk 3 kilometers to the scenic spot.
