Five-Day Self-Driving Tour Around the Solar City

Drive to Sun Valley Scenic Area to admire the Ideal Gate, and visit the Solar Energy Museum as well as the main venue of the 4th International Solar City Congress. Head east along Dongfeng Road to Jian River Wetland Scenic Area to enjoy water activities. Cross Baihe Bridge and drive 500 meters to Wild Goose Island Scenic Area, where you can have lunch in a Mongolian yurt, experience hot springs and take a short rest. Drive west along Dongfeng Road to Audele Times Shopping Plaza for free exploration. Go north along Kangbo Avenue on the west side of Audele, then turn right onto Dongfanghong Road to reach Dong Zhongshu Garden Scenic Area.

Visit the Braised Chicken Culture Museum and shop freely at the Braised Chicken Food City. Take National Highway 105, then switch to Provincial Highway 101 to the parking lot of Taohuayuan Hotel. Tour Audeman Winery, Jiulong Village Landscape Garden and the Ten-Thousand-Mu Peach Garden. Pick and taste fresh peaches and seasonal fruits and vegetables. You may dine at Taohuayuan Hotel at any time to try its signature whole roasted lamb. In the afternoon, drive to Xinqiu Agricultural Tourism Science and Sightseeing Park, then proceed to Gengliyang Community Cultural Square. Visit Gengliyang Flower Port, Sinyusi Water Control Project, old ship lock and Huizhou-style canal courtyards in the community. Continue along Provincial Highway 101 to Dehui Tilapia Breeding & Angling Center.

Take Provincial Highway 245 to Wucheng County. Tour Shenlong Carpet Co., Ltd. and Gubeichun Industrial Tourism Park on Gubeichun Avenue. After lunch, drive along Provincial Highway 254 to Xiajin and arrive at the Old Yellow River Forest Park. Take part in fruit picking, water obstacle challenges and other amusement activities inside the park. Enjoy authentic farm dishes for dinner at Gudao Manor.

Take National Highway 309 to Spring City Ocean Polar World. In the afternoon, go to Jindu Manor in Qihe County to experience farm work. Take Ji-Liao Expressway, transfer to Beijing-Fuzhou Expressway, then Provincial Highway 316 and Provincial Highway 249 to reach Hongtan Temple Forest Park.

Drive north along Provincial Highway 249 to Ningjin County and visit Ningjin Culture and Art Center. Take De-Bin Expressway to Leling and Qingyun. Tour the 500,000-Mu Jujube Forest in Leling and Haidao Golden Mountain Temple in Qingyun.
