Transportation to Langya Mountain

Driving Routes

Shanghai: Take the Shanghai–Nanjing Expressway → cross the Second Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and switch to the Nanjing–Luoyang Expressway; drive for about 20 minutes to reach the Chuzhou exit → follow road signs for Langya Mountain.
Take the Third Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge onto the Nanjing–Hefei Expressway → exit at Quanjiao → follow road signs for Langya Mountain.

Public & Taxi Transportation

Direct buses to Langya Mountain Scenic Area depart from the square in front of Chuzhou Railway Station, taking only 10 minutes to arrive. Buses can reach the parking lot of Zuiweng Pavilion. Taxis may proceed further along the ancient path all the way to Langya Temple.

The road from the railway station to Zuiweng Pavilion is paved with asphalt, while roads inside the scenic area are 6 to 8 meters wide. The path connecting Zuiweng Pavilion and Langya Temple is an ancient stone road dating back to the Song Dynasty, laid with evenly spaced flat stone slabs tightly fitted together.

From the temple, flights of stone steps wind repeatedly upward to the Heavenly Southern Gate at the mountain summit. Several earthen mountain trails also wind through the scenic area for hiking visitors.
