How to Drive to Huangfu Mountain in Chuzhou?

Huangfu Mountain Forest Park covers a total area of 53,273 mu with a forest coverage rate of 96%. It is the only special zone in northeastern Anhui that integrates a National Forest Park, a natural ecological reserve, and the foundational conditions for a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. It boasts the best-preserved and largest prime secondary forest landscape belt in the Jianghuai region, earning it the reputation of "Xishuangbanna of East China".

Huangfu Mountain was formerly known as General North Mountain. It got its name because Huangfu Hui, a famous general of the Southern Tang Dynasty, once stationed troops here. Renowned across Anhui for its stunning mountains and rivers, it boasts well-known natural and cultural landscapes throughout eastern Anhui. The mountain is home to Mituo Temple built in the mid-Tang Dynasty and the world-famous Nanqiao Tribute Tea. It gathers celebrated mountains, ponds, springs, caves, temples and forests in one place. Every early summer, hundreds of thousands of egrets gather in the mountain, presenting a poetic scene described as "Birds chirp amid green trees, clear springs gurgle endlessly", and evoking the artistic conception of a classical line: "Startled birds fly far, mirrored against green hills; pear blossoms fall from boughs in the evening breeze". There are eight major scenic spots for sightseeing and leisure on the mountain: Mituo Temple, Blooming Flower Clusters, Wave Listening Spring, Immortal Cave, Ten-Mile Sandalwood Corridor, Joy Ridge, Egret Viewing Islet and Beacon Tower.
