When do Dangshan pear blossoms bloom? Where is the Pear Blossom Festival held?

Opening Ceremony Date & Venue: The opening ceremony will take place at Dangshan Automobile Expo City on March 28th.

Dangshan in Anhui Province boasts 33,000 hectares of pear trees, forming China’s largest pear orchard. You must have noticed stalls along streets advertising Dangshan crisp pears every autumn.

There is no single designated town as the official venue, for pear trees grow across every township in Dangshan. The festival is co-hosted by the Suzhou Municipal Government and Dangshan County Government.

Nevertheless, Liangli Town is the top spot for appreciating pear blossoms. The King Pear Tree and Aotou Sea of Blossoms scenic spots are both located here.

Transportation: Direct shuttle buses run from downtown Dangshan to Liangli Town after you arrive at the county seat.
