Located in the humid mid-subtropical monsoon climate zone, Zunyi, like most parts of Guizhou, enjoys mild winters without severe cold and cool summers without sweltering heat. The annual average temperature ranges from 13℃ to 18℃, with abundant rainfall and ample sunshine. Thanks to its warm and humid climate, Zunyi is accessible to tourists in every season, boasting exceptionally favorable climatic conditions for travel rarely seen across the country.
Chishui is a major scenic area under Zunyi. It gets relatively hot in July and August, yet top attractions including Shizhangdong Waterfall, Sidonggou Scenic Area and the Bamboo Sea are covered by dense, towering trees that provide ample shade to keep visitors cool.
