Rolling hills covered in dense green trees enclose the resort, where fresh air and gurgling hot springs converge, forming a rare natural oxygen bar in the Pearl River Delta. Soaking in hot springs here is like stepping into a secluded paradise, bringing complete relaxation to your body, mind and spirit. The resort houses more than 80 hot spring pools with varied therapeutic effects. Hot spring water is extracted from over 180 meters underground at a constant temperature of 64°C. China’s sole radon hot spring with a water temperature reaching 87°C. Baiyun Hot Spring contains radon, a soluble radioactive gas element. Radon has a radioactive half-life of 3 to 8 days and fully dissipates after 30 days. During its decay process, it produces daughter nuclides that jointly emit rays to benefit the human body. Radon is rapidly expelled from the human system: most is exhaled through the lungs within 2 to 3 hours, while its daughter products exit via the urinary and digestive tracts.
