Dashandi Peach Orchard sits in Xinmin Village, Jiubei Town, Lianzhou City, Qingyuan. Covering 500 mu, it now yields ripe spring honey peaches ready for picking and tasting. A white-fleshed peach variety, its skin is milky white at the base and turns fully crimson when mature, featuring tender flesh with an intensely sweet rich flavour.

Stop 2: Huangchuan Three Gorges (Ticket Required)

Huangchuan Three Gorges – Longtan Cultural Ecotourism Resort is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It boasts three graceful gorges, plunging waterfalls, exposed stalactite rock sculptures, peculiar cliff faces and well-preserved historic sites. Cruising the gorges, appreciating waterfalls, observing fantastic stones and visiting ancient relics are its four core draws.
Stop 3: Overnight at Longtan Inn to Experience Yao Ethnic Customs
Visitors touring Huangchuan Three Gorges may stay at Longtan Inn for the night. Local Yao villagers here still uphold primitive hunting, fishing and farming traditions, alongside exquisite Yao brocade and costumes, ancient legends, unique wedding rituals, religious beliefs and grand Singing Festival performances.

- Ascend Huiguang Pagoda for a bird’s-eye view of the Lianjiang River and the entire Lianzhou cityscape, appreciating the timeless beauty of ancient architectural craftsmanship.
- Visit Yanxi Cultural Park to have a spiritual dialogue across centuries with Liu Yuxi, recalling the literary grace of this great poet.
- Cycle around Shijiao to breathe fresh mountain air and feast your eyes on picturesque scenery amid gentle exercise.

Recommended Route 2: Longping Town
A trip to Longping Town would be incomplete without visiting Dadong Mountain. Here you can hike trails, view cascading waterfalls and soak in natural hot springs (ticket required), perfect for a leisurely day out.

Caowu Village offers a different kind of charm: clear streams winding through green mountains, dense shady trees, a sight that instantly relaxes visitors even in photographs.

The grand highlight of the Dragon Boat Festival mini-break awaits. The Xibian Dragon Boat Race kicks off in the afternoon, so you can either visit an extra scenic spot in the morning or sleep in before heading straight to Xibian to avoid backtracking fatigue.

Option 1: Lianzhou Underground River
No trip to Lianzhou is complete without visiting the national 5A-level Lianzhou Underground River, hailed as a "Fairyland of Caves and Rivers". A breathtaking natural masterpiece, it is renowned domestically and internationally for its mysterious, gorgeous stalactites and underground cave waterways, also known as China’s Marvel of Caves and Rivers.
Option 2: Shilan Ancient Stockade
Located in Xibian Town, Shilan Ancient Stockade is a cultural historic site dating back to wars of the Song Dynasty. Constructed in the late Southern Song Dynasty over 800 years ago, three stone stockade walls rise along the mountain slopes, lined with arrow slits and bunkers. On the low threshold of the narrow main gate lies the Fence Cave, a military fortification built when Yue Fei led 8,000 elite troops from Guangxi into Guangdong to defeat Cao Cheng’s army of 100,000 men.
Afternoon: Xibian Dragon Boat Race
Dragon boat races are a hugely popular tradition in Xibian Town, Lianzhou. Every Dragon Boat Festival, crowds line both banks of the Xibian River to watch the competition. Teams are organised by villages or clans, with dozens of crew members per boat including drummers, flag bearers, steersmen and rowers. Amid cheers and shouts from spectators on both riverbanks, competing dragon boats pound out thunderous drumbeats beneath fluttering colourful banners, as bare-chested ribbon-adorned rowers synchronise their strokes to the rhythm
