Luofu Mountain Sweet Tea
This exclusive local specialty is handcrafted by tea farmers living on Luofu Mountain. They pick unique wild tea plants native to the mountain and process the leaves with distinctive traditional techniques. The tea tastes sweet and mellow, and helps clear internal heat, quench thirst, promote fluid production, stimulate appetite and relieve indigestion.
Boluo Preserved Fruits
Boluo produces over a hundred varieties of preserved fruits, such as tangerine peel plums, licorice plums, preserved ginger with plum flavor, candied prunes and snake gall tangerine peel. These delicacies enjoy an outstanding reputation in Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia.
Huizhou Preserved Mustard Greens
An iconic traditional specialty unique to Huizhou, preserved mustard greens feature a golden hue and rich aromatic fragrance. They taste fresh, sweet and crisp, with a mild nature that is neither cold, dry, damp nor fiery, earning them the folk nickname "vitality vegetable".
They can be cooked as an independent dish, or used as an ingredient to make classic dishes including steamed pork with preserved mustard greens, steamed beef with preserved mustard greens and steamed fresh fish with preserved mustard greens.
Boluo Crisp Candy
Made from locally grown black and white sesame seeds, mixed with maltose, white granulated sugar and flour, this candy is flaky, crisp and pleasantly sweet without cloying sweetness. It is an authentic specialty exclusively produced in Boluo.
Suluo Vegetables from Luofu Mountain
Also known as "Immortal Greens", these dried vegetables are a specialty of Suluo Village on the northern peak of Luofu Mountain. They feature tender flesh with minimal fibrous texture, making them a premium ingredient for soups. They also clear internal heat and moisten the lungs.
