If you travel to Benxi in summer, Laobiangou is an excellent choice. It is only 65 kilometres away from Benxi County with easy access to transportation, which makes it perfect for a day trip. The valley is deep and secluded, with gurgling streams and lush vegetation, creating stunning natural scenery. There are wooden boardwalks stretching all the way from the mountain foot to the peak. Tall ancient trees form a thick canopy blocking the strong sunlight. Together with the cool brooks, visitors can escape the intense summer heat completely. Walking along the boardwalk, you can get away from the noise of the city and enjoy the peace of nature. The admission fee is 60 yuan per person.

Dadi Forest Park is another ideal summer spot in Benxi. It boasts an extremely high forest coverage rate and serves as a natural oxygen bar. You will experience the sharp contrast between the hot outdoor weather and the chilly cave. The ticket price is 120 yuan.
