Highlights
Tiantai is the hometown of the Living Buddha Jigong, boasting a time-honored Jigong culture. In recent years, to promote Jigong culture, we have built the Jigong Courtyard on Chicheng Mountain, where Jigong studied in his youth, reconstructed the Former Residence of Jigong in Yongning Village north of Tiantai City, Jigong’s birthplace, and set up a Jigong art performance troupe. We have also developed a range of Jigong-themed delicacies and tourist souvenirs named after Jigong. Step into Jigong’s hometown, visit the sacred birthplace of Jigong, trace his life journey, and form a karmic bond with the Living Buddha Jigong.
- Former Residence of Jigong: Jigong’s birthplace, featuring Stone Wall Corner, the Li Manor, Longxi Garden and the archway of Yongning Village.
- Chicheng Mountain: Jigong’s teenage study site, Secretary Rock (the prototype of Jigong), statues depicting Jigong’s various demeanors, the laughing-and-weeping Jigong sculpture, and buildings in the Western Courtyard architectural style.
- Guoqing Temple: The monastery where Jigong became a monk.
- Stone Beam Waterfall: A natural rock formation resembling Jigong.
