Yuchuan Shanxi Merchants Tea House Museum

It is located in the Changyuchuan Compound at the north entrance of Duanjia Lane, Qi County, Shanxi Province. The compound is enclosed on three sides by tall walls, resembling a sturdy castle. The four courtyards contain sixty-six rooms covering an area of more than 2,200 square metres. Changyuchuan was one of the most time-honored enterprises owned by the prominent Qu Family, the wealthiest among the four major financiers of Qi County from the late Ming to early Qing dynasties. It was also one of the longest-running and largest tea trading firms established by Shanxi merchants.
