Xiaolongdong Waterfalls

Near Huangyan Village in Paibi Township lies a U-shaped rock formation with sheer cliffs ranging from 300 to 500 meters in height. Four waterfalls — Xiaolong Waterfall, Kusuo Waterfall, Hutan Waterfall and Xiejian Waterfall — plunge down precipices over one hundred meters tall and converge into a single deep pool. Their thunderous roars echo amid billowing mist, and each cascade boasts unique charms. Xiaolong Waterfall features a maximum drop of 147 meters with imposing, powerful surges. The cave mouth of Kusuo Waterfall looks solemn, carrying raging torrents of water. Streams of Hutan Waterfall fall like soft silk veils, gentle and tender. Xiejian Waterfall flows in graceful, twisting shapes, gorgeous and enchanting. Sometimes the water crashes against cliff faces, turning into drifting fog and mist; sometimes it plunges into the pool, generating rumbling sounds akin to wind sweeping through pine forests. Flat stone slabs stretch across the cliff top, where visitors may stand to overlook the entire breathtaking landscape in full view.
