How to Plan Your Wudang Mountain Tour?
1. One-Day Tour on Wudang Mountain
Route:
Wudang Mountain Gate — Qiongtai (cable car) — Tianzhu Peak — Golden Summit — Chaotian Palace / Golden Hall — Nanyan Palace — Dragon Head Incense Burner — Zixiao Palace — Prince Slope
This route covers all the classic highlights of Wudang Mountain for a fulfilling day trip.
Tips:
If you plan to finish the whole tour in one day, you must start climbing the mountain early. The first sightseeing bus departs from the foot of the mountain at 6:00 a.m., with a service interval of around 15 minutes (the interval will extend to 15–25 minutes in the early morning).
2. Two-Day Tour of Wudang Mountain & Tai Chi Lake
Day 1
Morning: Take the cable car or hike up to the Golden Summit. Visit Taihe Palace and Lingguan Hall, enter the Purple Forbidden City, reach the summit of Wudang Mountain, and admire the No.1 Golden Hall under heaven.
Afternoon: Tour Nanyan Palace, Zixiao Palace and Prince Slope. Prince Slope boasts the best-preserved and most magnificent buildings and serves as the site of the Taoist Association of China.
Overnight: Stay inside the Wudang Mountain Scenic Area.
Day 2
Morning: Revisit Prince Slope, where the crown prince once studied. Then drive downhill to Tai Chi Lake (about 2 hours’ drive).

Overnight: Stay in Hongping.
Day 4
