Itinerary
Day 1: Yuxu Palace — Xuanyue Gate — Prince Slope — Zixiao Palace
Start with key attractions in the Laoying area. Visit Yuxu Palace first, then Xuanyue Gate.
Afterwards, return to the main mountain gate and drive uphill along the mountain road.
You will pass Prince Slope Scenic Area and Zixiao Scenic Area in sequence, visiting the Needle Grinding Well, Prince Slope, Laojun Rock, Carefree Valley, Zixiao Palace and Tianjin Bridge.
Arrive at Nanyan Palace in the late afternoon and stay overnight at Wuya Ridge nearby.
Day 2: Nanyan Palace — Dragon Head Incense Burner — Golden Hall
Get up early to tour Nanyan Scenic Area. Nanyan Palace and Dragon Head Incense Burner are iconic landmarks you cannot miss.
Other worthwhile stops include Langmei Ancestral Shrine, South Heavenly Gate, Taichang Temple, God of Thunder Cave and Feisheng Cliff.
After lunch at Nanyan Palace, walk past Chaotian Palace, Yellow Dragon Cave and the Three Heavenly Gates to reach Taihe Palace, where the Golden Hall stands as the core attraction.
After visiting the Golden Hall, pass the Three Palaces of Qiongtai and take the cable car road downhill to wrap up this two-day trip.
