Doupeng Mountain Scenic Area, Guiding County

Doupeng Mountain Scenic Area lies at the junction of Guiding County, Duyun City and Majiang County. It has been designated as a national-level scenic area. Its main peak and the Heavenly Lake are located within Guiding County, rising to an altitude of 1,961 metres. The mountain boasts extremely rich biological resources and well-preserved primitive ecological environment, making it ideal for adventure exploration.

Major scenic attractions are as follows: Vast primeval forests stretch endlessly on a grand scale. The Heavenly Lake rests atop the peak like a bright mirror, presenting a fairyland scene. Secluded paths wind and twist through the mountains. Steep cliffs stand sheer as if chiselled by axes. Wild flowers bloom luxuriantly in the remote valleys, known as "June Snow", creating spectacular views. A great variety of unique azaleas grow all over Doupeng Mountain.

In Baoshi Village, ancient trees tower into the sky with thick foliage. Exotic rocks and flowering cascades line the trails, making it an ideal site for building mountain hiking service stations and hotels. Tielock Cliff features a strategic pass where one warrior can hold back ten thousand troops.

With lofty precipices, boundless bamboo groves and deep quiet wilderness, trees wrapped in moss and roots coiled around stones, Doupeng Mountain features the stunning Heavenly Lake and unique landscapes. It is a rare famous mountain in Guizhou with high value for tourism development.
