Yuchanghao Folk Art Museum is a Grade AAA Tourist Attraction. First built during the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty, Yuchanghao was originally situated in Fengqiao, an ancient water town south of the Yangtze River, and founded by Mr. Luo Chenglin.
Dedicated to reviving his ancestral business and preserving the time-honored Yue regional culture, Mr. Luo Dong, a descendant of the Luo clan, devoted decades of relentless efforts to collect more than 10,000 pieces of cultural artifacts. The collection covers Ming and Qing furniture, dowry sets for grand traditional weddings known as "Ten-Mile Red Dowry", horizontal inscribed boards, calligraphy and paintings, Yue embroidery, silverware, bamboo crafts, tin wares, as well as various wood carvings, stone carvings, brick carvings and bronze ornaments.
These collections fully embody the outstanding cultural heritage of the ancient Yue land, all bearing witness to the extraordinary ingenuity of folk craftsmen. They vividly showcase the magnificent yet exquisite aesthetic style unique to furniture and handicrafts of Zhuji.
