The Ancient Zifu Pagoda stands in Zifu Village, Heyuan Township, Lichuan County. The Zifu River, also known as Dongchuan, one of the three major rivers in the county, flows alongside the pagoda.

Construction of the pagoda began in the 14th year of the Jiading reign of the Song Dynasty (1221 AD), and renovation work was carried out in the Qing Dynasty. It is a rare solid brick pagoda in China. The seven-storey hexagonal structure rises to a height of 23 metres with upturned eaves on each floor. False doorways on the outer walls serve as Buddhist niches painted with Buddha statues. The original copper finial on the top collapsed and was lost over time.

The pagoda was reconstructed in the original ancient style in 2010, and an application has been submitted for it to be listed as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit.
