Brief Introduction
Fuling Mountain in Hetian Township served as the headquarters of the Kaihua-Wuyuan-Xiuning Central County Party Committee, the Zhejiang-Anhui Special Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Zhejiang-Anhui Military Sub-district, the Kaihua County Party Committee and the County Soviet Government during the Second Chinese Revolutionary Civil War. It functioned as the political hub of western Zhejiang.
On the left doorframe of the entrance gate to the former site of the CPC Zhejiang-Anhui Special Committee, there remains ink writing bearing the inscription "Political Propaganda Team of the Red Army", the signature left under Red Army slogans dating back to that era.
This site has successively been awarded the titles of "Patriotism Education Base" and "Party History Education Base" of Quzhou City, and listed as a Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit. In September 2005, it was designated as a "Classic Red Tourism Scenic Spot for Teenagers in Zhejiang Province".
