Bayanhushuo Tourist Resort

Bayanhushuo Tourist Resort is situated in Xinihe Town, Ewenki Autonomous Banner, merely 20 kilometres from downtown Hulunbuir. First built in 1989, it has an approved planned grassland area of 6 square kilometres, with existing construction space reaching 10,000 square metres and a total accumulated investment of over 98 million yuan.

The resort integrates time-honored cultural sites and stunning natural landscapes, with its core development highlighting authentic grassland scenery. It serves as the primary settlement of the Ewenki people, one of China’s three lesser minorities. Other ethnic groups including Daur, Buryat and Oirat also reside here. These diverse ethnic communities endow Hulunbuir, a city famed for rich ethnic charm, with profound cultural connotations.

Bayanhushuo boasts long-standing Aobao worship culture, Xianbei cultural ruins and the site of Guangyuan Temple dating back to the Qing Dynasty. It falls within one of the first batches of Cultural and Ecological Protection Zones designated by Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Within the resort lie 1 autonomous-region-level intangible cultural heritage item, 4 Hulunbuir municipal-level intangible cultural heritage items, 1 autonomous-region-level cultural relic protection unit and 2 banner/county-level cultural relic protection units.

The widely renowned Mongolian love song Aobao Rendezvous, hailed as the No.1 Oriental love song worldwide, originated right at the Aobao of Bayanhushuo and has since spread across China and all corners of the globe.

Known as the Home of the World’s No.1 Aobao, Bayanhushuo Resort draws visitors with its mysterious sacred Aobao and breathtaking grassland natural views, distinctive grassland ethnic cuisines and thoughtful, hospitable service, winning widespread praise from tourists. It was awarded the Title of Trustworthy Business Entity by the tourism industry of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in 2002; honored as a "Youth Civilization Unit" jointly by the National Tourism Administration and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in 2004; certified as a National AAA-level Tourist Attraction by tourism authorities in 2006; and has claimed the Award for Outstanding Non-public Enterprises of Ewenki Banner for consecutive years. It also won the Top Ten Scenic Spots of Hulunbuir from 2010 to 2012.
