Geshan Han Dynasty Tomb Group
The tomb group is situated on Geshan Hill in the northwest of Yangshan Town, Jinxiang County. Adjacent to the Yangshan Ancient Tomb Group, it dates back to the same historical period. The total original area covers 20,000 square metres, and 10,000 square metres remain intact today.
Most tombs are small single-chamber stone structures, with a slightly lower burial standard than those of the Yangshan Ancient Tomb Group. In archaeological excavations carried out in recent years, numerous painted pottery pieces have been unearthed, and bronze wares are occasionally discovered.
On March 17, 1992, it was listed as a County-level Cultural Relic Protection Unit by the People's Government of Jinxiang County.
According to the Records of Jinxiang County, Geshan Hill lies behind Yangshan Hill. It features steep and towering peaks. The hill got its name because most residents living at its foot bore the surname Ge.
